The Lido Café will be changed into The Marketplace during the day and a Brazilian steakhouse named Churrascaria in the evening. The Crystal Dining Room will be transformed into the Waterside restaurant, while Silk Road will be converted into Umi Uma & Sushi Bar, and Tastes will become Silk Kitchen & Bar and begin serving Chinese comfort food. Several dining venues will also be refurbished and rebranded. The Palm Court lounge will be upgraded with new finishes, carpets, more tables for two, sofas, wingback chairs with footstools, a modernised bar and a relocated stage. Other highlights of Crystal Serenity’s extensive renovation will include the addition of 36 new Seabreeze Penthouses and two new Seabreeze Penthouse Suites, which will effectively reduce her capacity from 1,070 guests to 980 guests. “In keeping with our commitment to offer guests choices to make the Crystal Experience their own, this new dining and entertainment experience is an intimate alternative to the grand occasions found in the Crystal Dining Room, which will be transformed into Waterside during the redesign.” “The Stardust Supper Club highlights the music and vibe of the exclusive clubs of the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin heyday, and perfectly complements the elegance of a formal evening aboard Crystal ships,” said Toni Neumeister, Crystal’s senior vice president of hotel operations. The Stardust Club will be refurbished with a new dance floor, lighting, bar finishes and refreshed décor, as well as several behind-the-scenes enhancements to improve the overall entertainment experience. In between performances, other musicians will play while the ship’s Ballroom Dance Quartet perform a couple of spotlight dances, including one during dessert and coffee where guests can join in. Guests will be able to enjoy a four-course menu of select dishes from the new Waterside restaurant as they watch performances by Crystal Serenity’s Show Band and featured vocalists. To be hosted in the ship’s Stardust Club, the supper club will be offered to 108 guests on the first and final ‘Black Tie Optional’ evenings, which take place on cruises of eight days or more. Crystal Cruises is to introduce the new Stardust Supper Club experience onboard Crystal Serenity when she returns to service after her renovation on 10 November 2018.
